Lego unveils new Friends collection based on the hit TV series

Lego has revealed you will soon be able to build scenes from one of the greatest sitcoms of all time.

The toy maker has released a sneak peak of the 90's favourite Friends set.

The short video was released on Twitter and features a new Friends set which shows the six characters sat on the recognisable sofa with the popular soundtrack playing in the background.

The Lego figurines of Phoebe, Monica, Rachel, Chandler, Joey and Ross are sat in front of the iconic fountain which used to be shown at the intro of each show.

Fans will soon be able to buy minifigures of the characters played by Courtney Cox, Jennifer Anniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt Le Blanc and Mathew Perry.

The Tweet says 'The one with the Lego bricks', mimicking the naming structure used for episodes of the long-running show.

Lego have released many trending collections in the past that have flown off shelves including popular Harry Potter, Star Wars and Disney sets.

The toy company has not revealed when people can get their hands on the collection or whether venues such as Monica's apartment or the Central Perk coffee shop are going to be included as box sets.

Fringe characters such as Gunther, the coffee shop owner who is in love with Rachel, have not been revealed but may feature in some of the sets.

They certainly know how to keep us all in suspense.

Keep an eye on the Lego website for any further details - we sure will be.
