Lego shoppers only allowed 30 minutes in new Grafton Street store for safety reasons

Lego shoppers are only allowed 30 minutes in the new store to ensure their safety needs are met.

The latest shop will open on Grafton Street on Thursday morning at 9am. There will be a wristband queuing operation in place and customers must adhere to a half an hour time limit.

All customers will need a wristband which will provide an allocated entry time. You can collect a wristband directly opposite the store every day until Thursday from 9am.

A spokesperson for Lego said: "Today the LEGO Group announced a customer queuing system for the upcoming opening weekend of the LEGO Store Dublin, from 18 August to 21 August. The LEGO Store Dublin will open at 9am on 18 August at 41 Grafton Street.

"All customers will require a wrist band with an allocated time to gain access to the LEGO Store Dublin. The wrist bands can be collected directly opposite the LEGO Store on Grafton Street each day of the opening weekend from 9am.

"To ensure the safety of all customers, the LEGO Store Dublin will have 30-minute time allowances for customers to enjoy the brand new location. Each wristband will have a designated time slot and slots are not interchangeable.

"Once customers have collected their wrist bands, they will be able to join the queue at their allocated time. No one will be able to queue in advance of the time stated on their wrist bands. The LEGO team will then direct you into the store.

"When purchasing LEGO sets, we ask customers to queue at the cash desks in advance of their finish time to allow sufficient time to leave the store safely."
