Hogsmeade just got a makeover with this Harry Potter Lego set, and it's everything I wanted

The Lego Hogsmeade Village - Collectors' Edition set laid out in a line on a wooden table.

Fans are often treated to a new Harry Potter Lego set come September (it's back to Hogwarts season, after all), and this year's offering is a doozy.

Rather than revisiting the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, this new Harry Potter Lego set pays a visit to the surrounding village of Hogsmeade for the ultimate collector's edition diorama. While we've had smaller kits recreating parts of the location before (such as the Three Broomsticks pub and the Shrieking Shack), they've never been as detailed as this version. Actually, I'd say this Lego Harry Potter set leaves them in the dust; it's far more atmospheric and detailed, crams in a dozen minifigures, and would look great as a Holiday-season display piece thanks to the snowy design.

Although it's obviously a dead ringer for the movie design seen from Prisoner of Azkaban right through to Deathly Hallows Part 2, you'll also feel right at home if you've ever been to Hogsmeade at the Universal theme parks.

Taking pride of place is the most accurate version of the Three Broomsticks yet (complete with the three titular brooms above its lintel and that iconically wonky roof silhouette). It's joined by Honeyduke's Sweet Shop, Owl Post, Dervish and Banges, and Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop, not to mention the first ever Lego versions of the Hog's Head pub and Zonko’s Joke Shop. That means this model has something to offer even if you already own existing versions of some Hogsmeade buildings.

This has apparently been made in the same scale as the previous Diagon Alley kit (which is available for the same price direct from the Lego store), and has a similar design that can be closed up into a long 'street' scene a bit like a book nook. That means it isn't quite as intricate as Lego Gringotts Bank, which is arguably one of the best Lego sets for Potter fans, but is probably more practical to display.

Personally, I adore how it nails that Tim Burton-esque lopsidedness to the skyline; it's a distinct look that hasn't necessarily been done justice in Lego form to date, at least to my mind. I adore the detail the Lego team has managed to stuff into the store interiors as well, despite fairly limited space; there are skulls, sweets, tills, menus, and more to be found if you look closely, providing a lot of character.

Lego Hogsmeade will be available to buy on September 4, 2025 via the Lego Store, but if you're a member of the free Insider program (e.g. you've signed in to the site), you'll be able to purchase it from September 1 instead.
