Lego 'invents' slippers to save parents the pain of stepping on tiny plastic bricks

Lego has teamed up with a French branding company to 'invent' some slippers to save parents from one of the nastier pains associated with raising children: the moment you step on a tiny lego brick,

Not content with merely advising parents to wear slippers, Brand Station  and Lego have made a special Lego-branded slipper with an extra thick sole.

They say "will enable you to walk in the house in the middle of the night without any worries".

The post on Facebook reads:

"Because your kids love the ‪#‎LEGO‬... But that they love above all share their passion in the entire house... This year, we have imagined for you parents the ultimate gift for ‪#‎Christmas‬: slippers lego to the sole padded which will enable you to walk you in the middle of the night in the house... Without any worries! ‪#‎noellego2015‬"

Lego is giving away a limited run of 1500 of the shoes to customers who create a Christmas wish-list on its site.

The Independent has contacted Lego for comment.
