Lego Con 2021 will have free virtual activities for kids and surprises for fans

Lego fans, you're going to want to mark June 26 in your calendars.

That's because for the first time ever, the toy manufacturer is launching a brand new Lego Con 2021 event, complete with heaps of activities for kids, fun surprises for families, and sneak peeks at some of their upcoming new games and products.

The best part is that you won't need to leave your sofa to join in on all of the fun, as the event will be virtual!

The company is staying fairly tight-lipped about exactly what will be on offer for fans, although it has revealed that there will be live virtual activities, chances to meet special guests like LEGO designers, and even some live building challenges that everyone can take part in.

There will also be sneak peeks inside the LEGO House where the magic happens, and a peek at how LEGO Masters work around the world, along with some other surprises.

Lego has also said that various different lines will be represented so there's plenty of opportunity to get involved, with the likes of LEGO City, LEGO Friends, LEGO Harry Potter™, LEGO Ninjago®, LEGO Star Wars™, LEGO Technic™ and more due to be included.

During the two-hour event, the company will also reveal some of the exciting new products they've got coming out.

The virtual event is free to attend and will be livestreamed directly from the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark - all you need to do is tune in on lego.com/legocon on June 26, from 5pm-7pm BST.

Of course if your kids are obsessed with all things LEGO, there are plenty of in-person days out you can enjoy across the UK.

For a start, there's Legoland Windsor which has heaps of Lego themed rides and attractions for young children, not to mention the theme park recently opened a brand new mythical themed land complete with the UK's first flying theatre ride.

The good news is that there are plenty of cheap Legoland ticket deals around too, whether you're after discounted days out or thinking of treating the kids to an overnight stay.

The resort also boasts themed hotels that are worth having on the radar which include perks such as free gifts and live entertainment in the evenings.

You can find out more about the theme park and hotels on legoland.co.uk.

For those in Birmingham and Manchester, there are also the Legoland Discovery Centre indoor playgrounds with plenty of fun building activities, 4D cinemas and other events. You can find out more on legolanddiscoverycentre.com.
