Lego are releasing a new Friends collection - and you're going to want it all

Friends may have ended back in 2004, but the show still remains incredibly popular today (thanks to constant re-runs and Netflix ).

It's so popular in fact, that LEGO have just announced that their latest collection is going to be based on the hit 90s sitcom.

Yes, really.

The company made the announcement on social media, where they shared a short video, teasing the new set - and we can already tell we're going to want it all.

They wrote: "The one with LEGO bricks coming soon."

Alongside this was the clip, which showed six LEGO figures, which look just like Rachel, Ross, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler and Joey, sitting on a sofa made of orange bricks in front of an instantly recognisable fountain.

Understandably people were thrilled by the news, with thousands liking and retweeting the post.

One person replied: "Could I BE anymore excited?"

Someone else made very appropriate jokes on the subject, tweeting: "WE WERE ON A BRICK!"

Meanwhile another simply said: "This is really cool."

"Didn't know I needed this until now," added a third.

A fourth proclaimed: " I am SO getting this."

Moreover a fifth suggested the company reenact an entire episode from the show using the tiny figures and adding voice overs.

However not everyone was quite as enthusiastic about the whole thing.

Others wondered why the company wasn't making LEGO sets based on their favourite shows, including The Office, Scrubs and Seinfeld.

After many fans of the show began asking for a release date, the official LEGO Group account added: "Love your enthusiasm! The announcement's been made, it's really happening... A Friends & LEGO set! More info will follow, so stay tuned."

However if you need to get your Friends fix now, there are a range of other themed items out there that you can buy, including Friends Monopoly and a homeware range from Primark.
