Representatives from the Yemeni legitimate government and Iran-backed Houthi militias met on Wednesday with the UN-led team that is monitoring a recently reached truce in Hodeidah city, a pro-government official told AFP.
"We are expecting a good outcome," said the official, who requested anonymity.
Government members of the committee were transported to the meeting from east of the city in UN vehicles, said the government official.
Retired Dutch general Patrick Cammaert is heading the joint committee including government officials and Houthis to oversee the truce.
The ceasefire agreement was reached earlier this month after week-long consultations in Sweden between the legitimate government and Houthis.
The deal calls for the Houthis to withdraw from Hodeidah ports and the rest of the city.
