Legia Warsaw warm up for Linfield tie with Polish Cup demolition job

Lega Warsaw warmed up for their Champions League clash with Linfield with a dominant win on Friday.

A hat-trick from Maciej Rosołek helped ease Aleksandar Vuković's side to a 6-1 victory over Belchatow in the Polish Cup.

Paweł Wszołek and Filip Mladenović also got on the scoresheet, with Michal Pawlik adding an own goal for Belchatow.

Former Celtic and Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc started in nets for the Polish champions, while midweek signing from Leicester City, Bartosz Kapustka, wasn't included in the squad.

To give some context to the win, Legia were 1/8 favourites for the cup tie against opposition from the division below them.

Belchatow finished 15th in the Polish Division 1 last season, just above the relegation places.

Linfield travel to Warsaw on Monday ahead of Tuesday's Champions League first qualifying round game.

The Blues warmed up for the Euro tie with a friendly against Stoke City on Saturday.
