Legia Warsaw praise 'classy' Linfield for simple changing room gesture

Linfield showed their class on and off the pitch in Poland last night.

David Healy's side put up a brave fight against Legia Warsaw in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

They were finally undone in the 82nd minute when Legia substitute Jose Kante fired home the decisive goal for the hosts.

Linfield came close to equalising at the death, but sub Christy Manzinga's bouncing shot rebounded off the inside of Artur Boruc's post.

The Polish giants showed their appreciation to the Irish League champions, especially after the Blues cleaned up their changing room at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego.

Legia posted a photograph of the tidy room on their official Twitter account, showing their appreciation to the "classy" visitors.

The Polish side said: "Respect for @OfficialBlues for the order our guests kept in the cloakroom."

Linfield now go into the second qualifying round of the Europa League, with the draw for that being made on August 31.
