Legia Warsaw gear up for Rangers penalty showdown as boss admits he's taking no chances

Legia Warsaw boss Aleksandar Vukovic has revealed he will order his players to practice penalties ahead of their Europa League crunch at Ibrox.

Rangers face the Poles in the second leg of the play-off, after a goalless draw in Warsaw in the first leg.

Legia have yet to concede a goal in seven European games this season and another 0-0 draw after 90 minutes and extra time could see a penalty shoot-out.

And Vukovic is taking no chances and will get his players to do extra sessions taking penalties ahead of the showdown with Steven Gerrard 's side.

He explained: "The match in Glasgow is like a Final now because the first leg was 0-0.

"We know about the possibility that the game could go all the way to penalties and we can't afford to neglect any element that could ultimately help us.

"So yes, we will practice penalties at training.

"Obviously, it will be different in front of a full Ibrox, but there is no harm in practicing.

"The players should be fresh - that was the reason I made nine changes for the match against Lodz at the weekend.

"We know if we want to qualify, everyone must be at the highest level. Rangers showed what a good team they are in Warsaw."
