Legendary singer Rod Stewart calls Roy Keane 'a bit of a bully' and 'too aggressive'

Rod Stewart has branded Roy Keane 'a bit of a bully' and 'too aggressive'.

The legendary singer made the comments on TalkSport and did not hold back on his opinion of Keane.

Speaking on the radio talk show, Stewart said: “I think Roy can be a bit of a bully sometimes. “I admired him as a player but he’s a bit of a bully.

“I think there’s a way of speaking your mind and I think he’s far too aggressive.”

Keane was recently asked by Sky Sports if he would have been up for the role as Manchester United manager on an interim basis with Keane saying he felt he could manage a dressing room after his previous managerial experience.

And Stewart had his say on the matter: "He was an elite player, but do you think he could be a good manager with that approach?"

Keane recently got into a heated debate with fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher over the exclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo from Sunday's clash against Chelsea.

Defending Ronaldo, Keane said: "It’s not as if he hasn't scored and he’s not interested, he’s on it but then he’s getting the blame for the high press.

"He’s not pressed for five or six years. He’s not going to fix United’s problem but you don’t bring Ronaldo back to sit on the bench. You think Rashford pressed today? He did nothing today. Stats have taken over the world - his stats coming back to united are good.

What’s the game about? Scoring goals! You talk about Salah the games about goals Jamie! Ian Rush what did he do? He scored goals."

The two then proceeded to argue about Ronaldo's value to the team and his aims for returning to the Premier League.
