There was uproar and upset earlier this year when one of Newcastle's most famous boozers shut its doors unexpectedly never to open again.
The bar in question was of course with regulars devastated with the sudden closure of the haunt near Central Station where we'd all been at least once, whether we could remember it or not!
There was an outpouring of love for its eclectic musical output, lethal trebles and even its sticky floors and while we can't guarantee the latter, the other two are sure to be present when Gotham comes back for one night only for the festive season!
While of course the premises that were once Gotham have now been taken over by Gunner Tavern, the Gotham name will live on at another city centre haunt the week before Christmas.
On Thursday, December 19 - the night before Black Eye Friday - Grey's Club will host a massive Gotham Town Christmas Reunion.
And Gotham's resident DJ Dean Paul Walton will be on the decks!
A Facebook event page has been created for the party and the teaser reads "The official Gotham Town Christmas reunion! Hosted by Greys Club featuring long standing GT DJ Dean Paul Walton on the terrace and a celebration of Gotham residents in the club room! Gotham drinks offers at the bar including 2 for £5.50 skittles all night long!"
