Legendary musician’s handwritten lyrics inside book up for auction

  • Rare type-written draft lyrics for Bob Dylan's song 'I'm Not There' have been discovered.
  • The lyrics were found tucked inside a first edition poetry book by Allen Ginsberg, a long-time friend of Dylan.
  • It is believed the book, containing the lyrics, was gifted by Ginsberg to model Sally Grossman in 1969.
  • The song 'I'm Not There' originated from Dylan's 1967 Basement Tapes sessions but was not officially released until 2007.
  • The lyrics and the book are scheduled for auction on 21 April with Omega Auctions, expected to fetch between £20,000 and £40,000.
