Legendary jockey AP McCoy needs a caddy at the Irish Open Pro-Am

Legendary Irish jockey AP McCoy is on the lookout for a caddy at next month's Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Pro-Am, and the European Tour are offering one lucky fan the amazing opportunity.

The legendary rider will join stars such as Conor Murray, Paul O'Connell, Joe Canning, Davy Fitzgerald as well as recently retired 2019 Grand National winner Ruby Walsh in Lahinch on Wednesday July 3.

McCoy said: "I always love playing the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Pro-Am and I’m thrilled to give a golf fan a chance to caddie for me during such a great week on the European Tour.

"I may need a few tips as I’m told Lahinch isn’t the easiest course, so I’m looking forward to meeting the winning caddie and if nothing else, it will be a bit of craic.”

And if you reckon you can help 45-year-old navigate his way around the course, it's quite simple.

Applicants from both Ireland and Northern Ireland must be at least 16-years-old and have proof of handicap from a recognised golf club.

You can apply here.

The tournament itself kicks off the following day on Thursday July 4 and runs until Sunday July 7 with Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry among the early favourites.
