Legendary Edinburgh vintage shop Armstrongs to open new city centre store

W. Armstrong and Son, more popularly known as Armstrong's, is one of the oldest and most popular vintage emporiums, not just Edinburgh, but in the whole of the UK.

They have everything from '50s flapper skirts to wedding dresses, as well as tweed jackets, old Levis, feather boas, top hats, graphic tees, loud shirts and everything in between.

Now, vintage enthusiasts can rejoice as the clothing chain has announced on Instagram today that they are set to open a fourth store in the capital - right in the city centre.

They currently have three locations in Edinburgh, one on the Grassmarket, one on Teviot Place opposite Bristo Square and one on South Clerk Street.

The newest addition is set to open on Cockburn Street, an area known for its independent shops and cafes, making Armstrong's a perfect addition.

In a post on Instagram the vintage clothing store's team wrote alongside an image of an empty store and a set of keys: "Exciting news! W. Armstrong and Son are expanding! We are opening a fabulous 4th store Edinburgh's iconic Cockburn Street."
