Legendary Bristol raver Bradley Gunn returning to the dance floor after a nine-month break

Bristol's most recognised raver has announced that he is returning to the dance floor, nine months after hanging up his dancing shoes.

Bradley Gunn Raver rose to prominence in 2015 when people started to notice his dance moves and unique attire in clubs around the city and began to share videos of him on social media.

He set up his own Facebook page and his popularity quickly soared with promoters flying him to events all over Europe, while in 2017 he starred in BBC Three's Amazing Humans.

Despite the drink and drug culture which surrounds the dance scene Bradley, who has Asperger's syndrome, fuels his raving only with water and a passion for music, with his longest dancing stint lasting a staggering 38 hours.

But in March he stunned his fans across the world by announcing that his raving days were over on his Facebook page, which now has more than 60,000 followers.

He said that while he still loved raving, there is a "dark side to everything I become obsessed with, and that is just the nature with having Asperger's," which becomes "more demanding and serious, to the point I prioritise the interest above all other parts of life".

Since then he has focused on other aspects of his life, including his career as a software engineer, but has dusted off his moves on a few occasions including at Boomtown Festival and Drumcode Festival in Amsterdam.

However it sounds like we could be seeing a lot more of Bradley again at Bristol's clubs and festivals, as he has revealed his intentions to return to the scene.

'I am happy to confirm that I will be returning to the dancefloor'

The electronic dance music lover made the announcement on his Facebook page.

He said that in the past few weeks he has "really started to feel really good and that I have re-gained inner peace," which led to his "higher self telling me that it was time to return, I was ready to go dancing again".

He wrote: "I am happy to confirm that I will be returning to the dancefloor. Not every weekend, however, it is where I am most at one with the world. I have learned that raving was more than just an obsession.

"My new journey on the dancefloor will be more focused alongside the connection with the mind and mental health.

"If anyone feels they are at a point in their musical journey that they are hitting a point where they are struggling to carry on, you can speak to me. I am happy to listen and offer any advice that I can.

"Thank you and see you at the dance soon."

The full statement can be read on Bradley Gunn Raver's Facebook page.
