'Legend' boy upstages BBC presenter with hilarious dance moves during live broadcast

A young beachgoer has left viewers in stitches after ‘upstaging’ a presenter with a hilarious dance routine during a live TV weather forecast.

BBC’s Jen Bartram had been providing an update on the weather following a day of exceptionally hot conditions at a beach in South Shields, near Newcastle, on Friday, reports the Mirror.

But viewers were drawn to a young boy who wandered into the background to give a show-stopping performance during the broadcast.

The boy can be seen lifting his shirt up and down before displaying some perfectly choreographed side-stepping moves in the distance.

Dozens on social media have branded the boy as a ‘hero’ after a clip of his incredible moves had gone viral.

Later realising what happened, presenter Jen tweeted to say: “I was unaware of being upstaged by the young boy with some rather enviable dance moves during my forecast.”

Jen even found a way to improve it further by "giving the forecast what it deserves", adding the soundtrack of Up & Down by Vengaboys, and Tony Christie's Amarillo to perfectly match the moves.

It went down a storm on Twitter, with one writing: "Top marks there - excellent delivery and real style."

A second replied: "Was laughing my socks off at beach kid just living his best life yesterday."

Another suggested: "Someone buy that lad an ice cream! Total legend."
