As Monkey swept through the foyer of the shiny new Guardian Towers today, we were reminded of the delightful 1969 rom-com, If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium. Why? For in the lobby was none other than former Times columnist and Private Eye frequentee Mary Ann Sieghart. Sieghart featured in this column just last week when she was spotted in the office of Daily Telegraph editor Will Lewis. Monkey at the time thought she might be signing up to the Tele but it appears that Sieghart, who took voluntary redundancy from the Times after 19 years in 2007, is casting her net a little wider.
