A leg spotted in a car window alerted police on the M62 to a vehicle full of dead pigs and a driver with no licence.
Officers were driving on the motorway on Tuesday when they saw a leg stuck up in the back window.
They stopped the car to find out what was going on and discovered that the driver had just purchased two dead pigs.
While carrying out checks, police discovered that the driver didn't have a licence and their window wipers were being pulled on a string by the passenger.
On Twitter, a spokesperson for North West Motorway Police tweeted: "Vehicle drove passed us on the M62.
"After seeing what appeared to be a leg stuck up in the back window we stopped it to find two full dead pigs that had just been purchased!
"Driver had no driving licence and his wipers were being worked by string by the passenger!."
The accounts followers were completely baffled by the incident.
One person said: "You couldn't make that up."
