NEW DELHI: Kursad Dalyan of Afyonkarahisar SHS completed an unconventional catch during the ECS Bulgaria T10 match against VTU-MU Pleven, stunning teammates and spectators at the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski on Saturday. Dalyan's quick reflexes and athleticism were on full display as Afyonkarahisar SHS secured a decisive victory.
Afyonkarahisar SHS won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a competitive score of 104/5 in their allotted 10 overs. VTU-MU Pleven struggled in their response and were limited to 40/8, partially due to Dalyan's extraordinary fielding.
The remarkable catch happened in the fourth over of VTU-MU Pleven's innings. Anandhu Krishna, who was batting on 1, attempted to drive Shakeel Faruki's delivery towards the on-side but mistimed his shot. The ball seemed likely to fall short of the fielder at mid-on.
Dalyan then extended his foot forward, causing the ball to hit his shoe and bounce up into the air. He completed the catch with ease, much to the disbelief of everyone present.
