'Left too soon!' Chelsea fans react to Arjen Robben retirement decision

Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news that former Stamford Bridge favourite Arjen Robben has announced his retirement.

The Dutch maestro has called it a day upon his release from Bayern Munich, where he spent ten trophy-laden seasons.

He had previously turned out for Real Madrid, who he joined from the Blues in 2007 following three years in West London.

Robben, 35, won two Premier League titles during his time at Chelsea, also helping the Blues to an FA Cup and a pair of League Cup trophies.

But it was Bayern where he really enjoyed success, winning 20 honours including the Champions League.

And Chelsea fans have been reacting to his announcement on social media, speculating where he could end up next with one former Blue in Frank Lampard, who Robben played alongside, taking the reins as head coach on Thursday.

Here's the pick of the social media reaction below.
