One of Bristol's most impressive pubs is reopening.
Left Handed Giant, one of the city's top breweries, is reopening its brewpub at Finzels Reach for takeaway service on Friday (June 12) - almost exactly one year after it first opened the doors to the venue.
The brewery will install a one-way system in its courtyard area and serve customers through a hatch, to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
Mission Pizza, which is also based in the former Courage Brewery building, will be reopening on Friday too, allowing people to pick up some first-rate grub with their beers.
Left Handed Giant, which brews its own beers at the site, announced the news on its website today (June 9).
The statement reads: "It is with excitement and some sadness that we look to re-open on Friday. Excitement because it’s a mark of further progress in our communities fight against the virus.
"Excitement because we love the building and the space, and it’s broken our hearts to see it sit empty and forgotten for the last months.
"Excitement because one of our core values is working to reduce the distance between the tanks our beer is made in, to you, the person who drinks it.
"But sadness also, because in the short term the Brewpub will not and cannot be what it once was, and what it will be in time again."

The brewpub will be open on Friday and Saturday between 12pm and 9pm.
Takeaway beer can be ordered on arrival but pizza must be booked in advance on Mission Pizza's website.
