Leeds woman killed in Huddersfield 'domestic' as police launch murder investigation

The woman who died in Huddersfield town centre last night was from Leeds.

Bethany Rae Fields lived in Bramley. She was pronounced dead at the scene on FItzwilliam Street following a 'domestic-related incident'.

Paramedics and police attended, and a 35-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently in police custody.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to Fitzwilliam Street at around 6.12pm to reports of a woman being seriously injured.

"Emergency services, including paramedics, were quickly deployed to the scene, but the 21-year-old was pronounced deceased.

"A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after the incident. He remains in police custody at this time.
