Leeds weekend weather forecast hit with 20-hour Met Office rain warning

Leeds is being warned to expect flooding to homes and businesses this weekend, after the Met Office issued a rain warning for the city.

Throughout November, the city and wider region has been hit with heavy and persistant rain, and this looks set to continue.

11 days of consecutive rainfall had been forecast for Leeds starting Tuesday this week, and now a yellow warning is in place for tomorrow (Saturday) lasting no less than 20 hours.

The warning affects much of Yorkshire and the North East of England, with 'flooding likely' as well as disruption to bus and train services.

Some interruptions to power supplies and other services is also likely.

Leeds weekend weather forecast overview

According to The Weather Channel, Saturday will see highs of 9C, lows of 6C, and a 100% chance of rain when that warning is in place.

Sunday will start dryer with just a 20% chance of rain and highs of 10C. The evening looks set to be much wetter with an 80% chance of rain.

It is a similar picture for Monday with showers forecast throughout the day.
