Leeds weather: Forecast for Christmas Day and Boxing Day

It doesn't look like there will be a white Christmas in Leeds this year, as people are being told to expect sunshine and mild temperatures.

The Met Office says clouds will clear on Christmas Eve and it will be dry and sunny on Wednesday, December 25.

The forecaster states: "Some long sunny spells likely for much of the region. Turning misty with fog forming in valleys through the evening and overnight. Maximum temperature 7°C."

However, if you're heading out for a long walk or some shopping on Boxing Day, you may want to pack a coat.

It also says the weather will be "more unsettled" on Thursday, December 26 and light rain is expected between 6am and 3pm.

Dry but cloudy conditions and temperatures of around 6°C are forecast for Thursday evening.
