Leeds weather for Thursday as city set for hottest day of the week

Leeds is set for the hottest day of the week today (Thursday) with temperatures set to reach 28C.

According to the Met Office, it’s going to be a hot day with strong sunshine but light winds across Yorkshire.

In Leeds, temperatures will reach 19C by 9am and they will steadily rise throughout the day. By 3pm it will be 27C.

However, light rain is expected at around 6pm before turning cloudy into the evening.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “A very warm, perhaps hot, day of strong sunshine and light winds. Early cloud over western hills will soon clear. Cloud increasing later with evening showers, perhaps thundery, drifting northwards. Maximum temperature 29 °C.”
