Leeds weather and when worst rain will hit before scorching temperatures this week

Leeds is bracing itself to be hit by torrential rain today as a yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office.

The yellow warning for rain is in place until 10pm tonight, Tuesday, with some areas of Yorkshire seeing as much as 32mm of rain per hour.

According to weather watchers the worst of the rain will hit the city from 5pm onwards.

However, it isn't all doom and gloom as an unseasonably warm spell is expected to hit by the end of the week, bringing with it highs of up to 19C.

The warm weather will begin to sweep across the UK from Thursday giving us a break from the chilly temperatures we have been experiencing.

  • 4pm-5pm: Overcast
  • 5pm to 7pm: Light rain
  • 7pm to 9pm: Heavy rain
  • 9pm to 11pm: Light rain
  • 11pm to midnight: Light shower

The warmest of the weather is expected to hit Leeds by Thursday with temperatures reaching as high as 19C throughout the day.

This will continue into Friday with some cloud and sunny intervals.
