Leeds v Sheffield Wednesday betting tips and a 10/1 prediction

Familiar face Garry Monk comes face to face with his old charges again in what is sure to be a feisty Yorkshire derby.

The first clash between the sides ended goalless in October. Will this be different? We asked our Leeds United expert Joe Mewis for his verdict.

Win, lose or draw?

After showing a mainstream audience what they are all about in Monday night's FA Cup clash at Arsenal, it's back to the real work for Bielsa's side this weekend. Expect them to take care of a Sheffield Wednesday side missing leading scorer Steven Fletcher. 3-0 Leeds.

The home win is a solid 6/10 tip, but the 3-0 correct score is a very appealing 10/1 .

Who’s a good bet for 1st scorer?

Jack Harrison and Mateusz Klich put in excellent performances at the Emirates, so the pair will be looking to carry this form over and are both a decent shout at first scorer. Harrison is 15/2 to open the scoring and 13/5 any time. Klich is a slightly bigger 8/1 first scorer and 14/5 any time.

Who’s on the naughty step?

Kalvin Phillips has been racking up the yellows and as the local lad in this Yorkshire derby, he has to be favourite to be carded first.

Who’s on pens?

Patrick Bamford is full of confidence at the moment and after he dispatched Leeds' last penalty, no one will be able to get the ball off him should Leeds get a spot kick. He's 10/3 to open the scoring and 11/10 to score at any time.
