Leeds United have confirmed that Robbie Gotts will spend the rest of the season on loan at Salford City after he was recalled from Lincoln City.
The versatile 21-year-old made 12 appearances for the Imps over the first half of the season, but will now be part of Salford's promotion push, with the Ammies sitting fifth in League Two.
Gotts, who scored his first senior goal this season in the Imps' Football League Trophy win over Accrington Stanley this week, will be eligible for tomorrow's League Two match at Newport County and spoke of his delight at sealing this latest loan move.
“I’m really looking forward to it, as soon as the Club was interested really I think that was my main priority to come here," he told told the Salford City website.
“The manager spoke to me, there’s been previous conversation before and I’m just really happy to be here.”
Ammies boss Richie Wellens believes the Leeds man will add value to his team.
“He’s a young up and coming midfielder at Leeds United, he’s been involved in a couple of Championship games and a cup game away at Arsenal," he added.
“He’s got loads and loads of energy and I think he will complement the other midfielders very well, he comes fresh from a loan spell at Lincoln who are flying, and comes with a good recommendation.”
Gotts has made three first-team appearances for Leeds, with his debut coming a year ago in their FA Cup third-round defeat at Arsenal.
