Leeds United want £25m Everton man, Stoke identify Portsmouth defender as Liverpool snap up starlet

Here is the latest transfer gossip from the Championship.

Leeds and Stoke eye defender

The Championship duo are looking at Portsmouth defender Matt Clarke, according to The Times.

The League One centre-back has been superb so far this season and is tipped for a move this summer.

His form has just earned him a place in the EFL League One team of the season and he has just lifted the Checkatrade Trophy with Pompey after their win over Sunderland at Wembley.

The 22-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2020, with Leeds and the Potters favourites for his signature.

Bolasie a Daniel James alternative?

Leeds are also keen on signing Everton wideman Yannick Bolasie, according to teamTALK .

The former Palace man is currently on loan with Anderlecht. A deal with Leeds could be struck if they win promotion to the Premier League.

Bolasie moved to Merseyside from South London for £25million in August 2016 but never really settled.

He could prove an alternative to Swansea City's Daniel James, who Leeds have courted for the past six months. Swansea are likely to cash in on James this summer after a number of high-profile displays and contract talks making little progress.

Liverpool look at Rovers keeper

Ben Winterbottom, a prospect with Blackburn Rovers, has been the subject of a bid from Liverpool and according to Football Insider the two clubs have now agreed a compensation package for the player.

The news site reports that the Reds have agreed a £350,000 figure with the Championship club for the goalkeeper.

The 27-year-old left-back, has yet to agree a new deal at Aberdeen and the left-back, who can also play in midfield, is expected to depart the club in the summer.

Lampard plans to keep defender

Frank Lampard is planning for a full-back arrival, but one departure could also be coming this summer. Jayden Bogle has been attracting the interest of Premier League Burnley, but Lampard has slapped a £7 million price tag on the defender.

Bogle has established himself as Derby’s first-choice right-back this season, making almost 40 appearances in all competitions for Lampard’s promotion-chasing Rams and The Sun claim they are eager to keep him.

Woodgate to replace Pulis?

Middlesbrough struggled to a 1-0 defeat on Saturday evening and it would seem the winds of change are starting to blow through the club. Steve Gibson has already lined up Tony Pulis' successor according to The Sun. Jonathan Woodgate, a local lad and former Boro defender, is seen as the man to inject some life into the football club.

It is thought he could have a Solskjaer-like impact on things as Boro try desperately to get back to the Premier League.
