Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

17:15

And breathe!! There's the final whistle at Elland Road, as Leeds United and Bournemouth draw 2-2 to share the spoils after a last-gasp equaliser from the visitors! Leeds had already come from 1-0 down to draw themselves level in the first half, and seized the initiative early in the second with 1.70 xG produced overall. Aaronson's deflected effort yielded a corner which Bournemouth failed to deal with, and after another blocked shot from Okafor, Longstaff popped up to slam home a fantastic half-volley in off the far post. The Peacocks came close to adding a third through Longstaff, Rodon and Harrison but were unable to do so, and this opened the door for Bournemouth to stage their late fightback. The visitors generated 0.96 xG and crept closer to an equaliser with efforts from Brooks, Tavernier and Kroupi, before the substitute made Leeds pay in stoppage time with a close-range finish from Senesi's flick to level the scores and silence Elland Road. Three points would have taken Leeds level in the Premier League table with Bournemouth, but Daniel Farke's side are instead forced to settle for one and can only climb up to 11th. Andoni Iraola's side continue their own unbeaten run as a result of that late strike from Kroupi, and that takes high-flying Bournemouth up to third after a snatch-and-grab draw in West Yorkshire!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:51

Aaronson comes off in Leeds' next change after also running Bournemouth ragged at times, as a fit-again Ao Tanaka is introduced late on to replace him.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:34

Another change coming for Bournemouth, as Ben Gannon-Doak is thrown on in place of the booked Jimenez as a makeshift right-back.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

WIDE!!! Tavernier finds crossing space on the left but instead looks to go for goal, sending a powerful effort across the face of goal which flashes wide of Darlow's left-hand post!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:32

Aaronson picks up a retrospective yellow card from the referee, following a pull back on Truffert which Bournemouth were initially allowed to play the advantage from.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:34

SAVED!!! Stach barges Adams off the ball on the edge of his own box and frees up space for Harrison to shoot, and his first-time strike is palmed out of the top corner by Petrovic!

SAVED!!! Brooks slips the ball through Harrison's legs on his way into the box and shoots from a tight angle, but Darlow saves and holds it at his near post!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:29

Leeds make their first change of the match as Jack Harrison enters the fray, replacing Okafor on the left edge.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:29

Bogle does brilliantly to keep a loose, bouncing ball in play and releases Aaronson into space down the right. He looks for his right-back advancing into the box and Bogle goes down under pressure from Semenyo upon receiving it, only for the referee to wave away his appeals!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:28

SAVED!!! Rodon gets free yet again from another Longstaff corner and lashes a shot goalwards from close range, but Petrovic is equal to it and makes a comfortable save!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:27

Okafor sets off on another mazy dribble in-field and links up with Bogle to his right, but the full-back's throughball for Calvert-Lewin in the box is deflected behind for a corner off Truffert.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:25

47.9% of the action was in Bournemouth's defensive third in the first 15 minutes of the second half, as Leeds look to press home their newfound advantage, with the likes of Semenyo growing increasingly frustrated and racking up his fifth foul of the match.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:22

Kluivert comes off next to complete a hat-trick of Bournemouth changes, as Leeds-born Marcus Tavernier enters the fray in his place.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:22

Adli is also withdrawn by Iraola with half an hour to go in this game, as David Brooks comes on for the remainder.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:21

Andoni Iraola has seen enough and makes a trio of changes on the hour mark, with Alex Scott on to replace the Bournemouth skipper Christie in midfield.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:23

OVER!!! Christie swings a Bournemouth free-kick into the Leeds box from deep and it falls for Evanilson after the hosts fail to clear, but the Brazilian's snap-shot on the turn is sent high and wide of the target!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:21

SAVED!!! Leeds and Longstaff's tails are up and Gudmundsson races up the left flank to win a free-kick. Longstaff takes it, and sends a curling effort from a tight angle straight into the gloves of Petrovic!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:19

There's a quick VAR check for a possible offside against Struijk when Longstaff let rip with that shot, but it's soon cleared and the former Newcastle midfielder's first Leeds United goal stands!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:17

GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLL!!!! A thunderous finish completes the turnaround for Leeds!! A second corner in quick success is aimed towards Rodon and comes to nothing, but Leeds are able to keep the chance alive through Gudmundsson and Okafor. The latter takes a snap-shot which is blocked to the right, as does Aaronson, but this time the ball comes to Longstaff and he hammers a half-volley in off the far post from just inside the box!! A fantastic effort to put Leeds 2-1 in front, as their new midfielder adds to his first-half assist!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:15

BLOCKED!!! Calvert-Lewin escapes into space down the left and cuts the ball back for Okafor. He can't get a shot away, but nor can Bournemouth clear their lines and it breaks for Aaronson, whose strike takes a timely deflection off Truffert to flash wide of the target!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:13

Jimenez recovers a Leeds clearance to swing a teasing ball across the face of Leeds' goal, but Evanilson can't quite get on the end of it despite starting from an offside position.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:12

Since the start of last season, Leeds have won 72% of their league games with their captain Ampadu in the starting XI (21/29), compared to just 45% without him (10/22). Ampadu’s overall win percentage when starting league games for the Whites is 64% (48 of 75), the best win ratio of any player to start 50+ league games in United’s history.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:11

Ampadu's long throw isn't cleared by Bournemouth and cries of handball from the crowd come to nothing after a clumsy attempted header from Diakite. He's called back into action when Gudmundsson sends the ball back into the area, but Petrovic comes out to claim it ahead of the defender and Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:07

Longstaff has been everywhere for Leeds so far, sending an early shot goalwards before crossing in the corner for Rodon's equaliser at the end of the half. That delivery was one of three chances he's created with six final-third passes and three crosses, as well as winning five of his eight duels thus far. Longstaff has turned possession over once in Bournemouth's defensive third and chipped in with two successful tackles from three attempts, one interception and one foul won apiece. Engine.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:05

Both sides' chances of victory have dropped slightly in our live probability tracker after being evenly-matched in the first half, but Bournemouth still lead the way with a 39.6% likelihood of winning. Leeds trail in this regard on just 26.4%, but they'll be keen to continue the impetus from that Rodon equaliser as Kluivert gets the second period underway for Bournemouth.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:02

CHANCE!!! A long throw from Semenyo sparks chaos in the Leeds box with the hosts unable to clear, and Kluivert does his best to lash the loose ball goalwards on the slide, only to clip Rodon and be penalised by the referee!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

16:01

Adams is being booed and jeered to the rafters with every single touch of the ball he takes, after he left Leeds for Bournemouth in less-than-ideal circumstances back in 2023 following their relegation to the Championship.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:58

The half-time whistle sounds at Elland Road, as Leeds United and Bournemouth go into the break level 1-1 at the end of a high-octane opening 45 minutes! The Whites were straight onto the attack and saw Calvert-Lewin denied by Petrovic with the first of three vital saves inside the opening 13 seconds, with Leeds producing 1.01 xG overall through further chances for Calvert-Lewin and Aaronson. Bournemouth managed 0.39 xG at the other end and saw Christie fire over the bar twice, before Semenyo silenced the home crowd with a free-kick drilled straight through Leeds' wall and into the back of the net. The hosts took just 11 minutes to get themselves back on terms though, as Rodon equalised with a bullet header from a Longstaff corner which tees up another hotly-contested half of football!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:53

HALF-TIME: LEEDS UNITED 1-1 BOURNEMOUTH.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:53

We'll play an additional two minutes at the end of a first half which has been end-to-end and high energy to say the least at Elland Road.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:52

Leeds are unbeaten in 22 home league games, winning 18 and keeping a clean sheet in 15 of those games and conceding only eight goals. The Whites had kept a clean sheet in their last four at Elland Road, but have missed the chance to get one closer to their run of six between December and January in 2016-17, under Garry Monk.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:51

Late challenges on Aaronson and Stach fly in from Christie and Adams respectively, sparking a fracas of players pushing and shoving which leads to words between the referee and the former Leeds midfielder.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:44

SAVED!!! Leeds' defenders are caught up-field from a long throw as Bournemouth break forward at speed through Kluivert. He plays the ball across to Adli, but his left-footed curler is an easy effort for Darlow to save and hold!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:43

CHANCE!! Okafor peels off his marker and bursts away from Diakite into the box, riding Senesi's challenge to go through on goal before Jimenez arrives to dispossess him!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:43

Leeds have now scored four times in the last 15 minutes of their first halves this season, more than any other team in the Premier League.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:41

Longstaff's delivery was absolutely pinpoint from that corner, and the unlikeliest of Leeds United goalscorers was there to pounce in Rodon!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:41

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLL!!!!! Rodon heads Leeds level!!! The Whites win their first corner of the match and Longstaff crosses it to the far post, where the Welshman rises to send a bullet header towards the far corner, past Petrovic and into the back of the net for 1-1!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:41

Only Newcastle (37) have faced fewer shots in the Premier League so far this season than Bournemouth's 40 pre-match. Since facing 19 shots versus Liverpool, they haven’t allowed their opponents more than six shots in their last four games – the last team to go five in a row without facing more than six shots were Chelsea in October and November 2021.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:40

Leeds' backline remains rattled after that opener from Semenyo's free-kick, with Ampadu sending two poor back-passes in Darlow's direction in as many minutes and the goalkeeper being forced into rushed clearances, after his poor setup of their wall was exposed.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:37

Okafor skips around the outside of Jimenez and hooks a cross towards the far post, but it's steered away from danger by Truffert and away Bournemouth come on the counter.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:34

Leeds rarely had to come back from behind in the Championship last season – particularly at home – but last week's 3-1 win at Wolves from 1-0 down will spur Farke's side on to bounce back from Semenyo's strike.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:34

Semenyo now has two goals in as many Premier League appearances against Leeds, and that free-kick takes him to four for the new season already.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:29

GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!!!! A stunning opener from Semenyo!! Bournemouth's number 24 steps up to strike the free-kick and lashes an extremely powerful strike straight through Leeds' wall, leaving Darlow with no chance and rattling into the bottom corner!! 1-0 to the Cherries, as Bournemouth become the first away side to score at Elland Road this season!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:28

Semenyo hurls another long throw into the box which is won by Adli and then headed half-clear by Longstaff, only for Stach to barge Christie over on the edge of the box and concede a free-kick well within shooting range – after the German netted one himself from a similar position against Wolves.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:27

Bournemouth's latest corner is swung into the box by Kluivert, but Struijk does just enough to head the ball clear, and his Dutch compatriot's ball back into the area is overshot and sails behind for a goal-kick.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:25

After three goalless Premier League games, Leeds won 3-1 against Wolves last time out – the Whites last netted 3+ goals in back-to-back top-flight games back in November 2022, one of which was in a 4-3 win against Bournemouth, and the other saw them lose 4-3 away at Spurs.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:25

SAVED!!! Bogle's low cross is hooked into Calvert-Lewin's path by Aaronson, but the Leeds number nine can only send a downward header straight at Petrovic again!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:25

SAVED!!!!!! Petrovic denies Calvert-Lewin again!! Gudmundsson does brilliantly to force Jimenez back before pinching possession and crossing into the box. It's glanced away and comes out to Longstaff, whose ball back across the face is stabbed goalwards by Calvert-Lewin at the far post, only for Petrovic to claw his shot off the line! Aaronson then follows in with a header from Okafor's cross, but it's straight into the goalkeeper's gloves!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:18

The last league match between these two sides saw Bournemouth win 4-1 in April 2023 in what was Javi Gracia’s final game in charge of Leeds. Bournemouth have never won back-to-back league meetings with the Yorkshire club, and lost 4-3 at Elland Road in the 2022–23 campaign.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:16

Leeds have won all seven of their home league games against Bournemouth, scoring 18 goals in the process – it’s the most they’ve faced any side on home soil with a 100% win rate in their league history.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:15

A superb piece of skill from Bogle allows Ampadu to release Gudmundsson into space, but he's clipped late and off the ball by Jimenez before he can advance further, with the Bournemouth right-back shown the game's first yellow card.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:15

Struijk blocks off Bournemouth's route to a crossing position down the right-hand side and Adli pulls the ball back to Adams on the edge of the box, but his first-time strike is hit low and Gudmundsson gets in the way of it.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:11

Bournemouth win their first corner of the match and Kluivert's delivery is drilled low into the feet of Adli, who flicks the ball on for Christie to strike but once again his effort is off-target.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:10

OVER!!! Evanilson drives forward for Bournemouth and links up with Semenyo on the edge of the box. He tees Christie up for a first-time strike, but the Cherries captain can only blaze his effort over the bar!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:10

Leeds threaten to break again and Stach's wide, first-time pass finds Aaronson, who cuts inside Truffert and looks to do the same to Adams, but is subsequently dispossessed by his USA international team-mate.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:05

Bournemouth are riding high so far this season and head into this game sat fourth in the table, unbeaten in four since a 4-2 loss at Liverpool on the opening day which they were unlucky not to gain a point from. Andoni Iraola’s side followed that up with three straight wins over Wolves, Tottenham and Brighton, before drawing 0-0 with Newcastle ahead of this one.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:04

SAVED!!!! Almost the perfect start for Leeds!! Aaronson's flick-on is knocked forward by Longstaff and Calvert-Lewin is released in behind the defence straight away, bearing down on goal before sending a low shot towards Petrovic which is parried away by the Bournemouth goalkeeper!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:02

Longstaff gets the game underway for Leeds, and we're up and running in West Yorkshire!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:02

It’s the visitors who lead the way in our live win probability tracker as the two sides head out onto the pitch at Elland Road, with Bournemouth given a 43.7% chance of victory to Leeds’ 31.1. The hosts will be keen to change that though, particularly with this famous atmosphere behind them!

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:02

Bournemouth drew a blank last time out but found the net in each of their four previous league matches through Antoine Semenyo with three goals, Marcus Tavernier, Evanilson and Alex Scott. Scott and Tavernier start on the bench for this one, with Evanilson and Semenyo joined in the attack by Justin Kluivert and new signing Amine Adli.

Leeds United vs AFC Bournemouth

15:01

Daniel Farke names an unchanged starting XI after Leeds’ three-goal blitz proved enough to beat Wolves for their second win of the season. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor all opened their accounts for the Peacocks, and they make up half of Farke’s front six alongside Brenden Aaronson, Sean Longstaff and captain Ethan Ampadu.
