Dani Van den Heuvel: Made a superb save from a free-kick early in the contest and could do little to prevent the opener. Commanded his area well. 8
Charlie Allen: Deployed as a right-back for the first time this season and looked relatively at ease in the role. Created Leeds’ equaliser just before the break as his low cross was turned home by a Boro defender. 7
Jeremiah Mullen: Played at left-back and acquitted himself well. Comfortable with the ball at his feet and kept Boro’s right edge quiet. 7

Diogo Monteiro: Steady away in the heart of defence, tested a little more in the second half when Leeds were down to 10. 7
Kris Moore: Probably Leeds’ most impressive in the back line, made a couple of important blocks in the second half. 7
Morten Spencer: Did well in the middle of the park. Disrupted Boro play well and looked to try and pull the strings. Replaced early by James Debayo. 7
Darko Gyabi: Found it hard to play under constant pressure from the visitors’ midfield and cut a frustrated figure at times. Still managed to catch the eye at times, though. 7
Archie Gray: The best player on the pitch. Took his goal sensationally well, beating three men on his way to goal before turning the ball home. He then set up Perkins’ with a fine through ball. Unfortunately his afternoon was ended early after being shown a second yellow card for a soft foul in the 70th minute. 9
Sean McGurk: Spurned a golden chance to score in the first half but constantly looked to create problems for Boro. 7
Sonny Perkins: Took his goal very well in the second half and looked a constant threat. Another fine showing from the England U19 international. 8
Mateo Joseph: Never stopped running. Led with his tenacity but struggled to find openings in possession. 7
James Debayo (Spencer 59): Tested at times in the second half and entered the referee’s book for a sloppy challenge on the edge of the box. 6
Luca Thomas (Allen 75): Constantly looked to move the ball forward and found some joy. 6
Charlie Crew (McGurk 75): Looked the part off the bench. 6
