Leeds United transfers rumours: Brentford identify Said Benrahma replacement, Ryan Fraser wanted

It’s already been a busy summer for Leeds United on the transfer front, and it doesn’t look as though it’s going to get any quieter.

The Whites completed their sixth summer signing as England youth international Cody Drameh made the switch from Fulham on Thursday.

And, if the amount of rumours surrounding Marcelo Bielsa’s side are anything to go by, there will be plenty more following him through the door.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from Elland Road.

Brentford identify Benrahma replacement

Brentford may have paved the way for Said Benrahma to leave this summer after reportedly identifying his replacement.

The Algerian has been linked with a move to Leeds, among others, after the Bees failed to secure their promotion from the Championship.

A fire sale is expected at the London club, with striker Ollie Watkins also touted to be on the move after impressing last season.

And, according to Sky Sports, Nuremberg winger Robin Hack could be the man to replace Benrahma at Brentford, which could enable the Whites or anyone else to try and secure his services.

Whites join race for Fraser

Leeds are reportedly among the clubs in a race to sign free agent Ryan Fraser following his departure from Bournemouth.

The 26-year-old is searching for a new club after letting his contract run down on the south coast, having not played for the Cherries following the Premier League’s restart in June.

The Scotland international had been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, although 90min report that both clubs have now pulled out of the race to sign him.

But there is still plenty of interest, with Crystal Palace, West Ham and Newcastle United all keen, while Leeds, West Brom and Fulham are also said to have joined the race.

David explains Leeds snub

Jonathan David has explained why he turned down the chance to move to the Premier League after being heavily linked to Leeds.

The Canadian international completed his transfer to Lille in a deal worth a reported £27million from Gent.

That is despite some reports suggesting Leeds had made a £31.4million for the striker, although David has explained why he choose Lille over Elland Road.

“Everyone knows the Premier League is a high-quality league. But my choice was dictated by the fact that I wanted above all to be sure of playing,” David told France Bleu.
