Leeds United transfer rumours: Yan Dhanda boost, Ryan Kent future claim

Leeds United suffered their third successive defeat in all competitions on Saturday afternoon as they were beaten 1-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion at Elland Road.

The Whites are still without a win in 2021, and have now failed to score in their last three outings despite their previous impressive attacking intentions.

This is a concern for Marcelo Bielsa, as he admitted on Saturday in his post-Brighton press conference, and the Argentine coach could be forced into the January transfer market to try and find a solution.

With this said, we take a look at the latest Leeds-related transfer rumours and stories.

Why are Leeds struggling going forward?

Swans' potential Dhanda replacement

Leeds have been linked with a move for Swansea City star Yan Dhanda and the Championship club may have found a replacement for the reported Whites target.

According to Wales Online, the Swans have agreed a deal to sign Jordan Morris on loan from Seattle Sounders.

Steve Cooper is hoping to get the deal done before next weekend, which could see Dhanda leave the club as a result.

Recent reports have claimed that Bielsa is eyeing a move for the former Liverpool youngster following his impressive form in the Championship this season.

Whelan's Kent claim

Former Leeds man Noel Whelan has insisted there is no chance of the Whites signing Ryan Kent from Rangers this month.

The Yorkshire club have long been linked with a move for Kent, who is excelling in the Scottish Premier League for Steven Gerrard's side.

However, according to Whelan, there is no chance any move will be happening in the January transfer window.

"He's a good player, but he isn't on the verge of leaving Glasgow Rangers right now, they are on the verge of winning the Scottish Premiership," the former Whites man told BBC Radio Leeds.

"So absolutely not (going to happen) and I very much doubt Steven Gerrard or the board would let that happen."

Whites weigh up Traore move this month

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Leeds are preparing a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore this month.

Traore reportedly has a £36million price-tag on him, which has dropped considerably due to the winger's struggles for form so far this season.

The 24-year-old was a star for Wolves in the 2019/20 campaign, but has struggled to rekindle those performance levels thus far in this campaign.

The report claims that Leeds are weighing up a move for the Spaniard, who is seeking consistent first-team football after being in and out of the side at Molineux.
