Leeds United transfer rumours with latest on left-back search, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Joel Robles

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours for Monday, August 8.

Leeds receive left-back 'boost'

Leeds may have received a boost in their search for a new left-back. The Whites have been linked with PSV's Philipp Max, who has also been linked with a move to Hoffenheim, however they are now reportedly set to sign Angelino instead.

Last week, German outlet Kicker reported that Hoffenheim were up against Leeds in the battle to sign Max. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, everything is in place for Angelino to join Hoffenheim on loan with an option to buy for €20 million (£17million). It appears that the Whites' main rivals in the race to sign Max are now out of the picture.

Leeds face Kalimuendo 'obstacle'

Leeds United are reportedly continuing to push for the signing of the PSG forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, but the deal may have hit an obstacle. According to 90min, the Whites' pursuit is being hindered by the fact that new PSG head coach Christophe Galtier is such a big fan of the 20-year-old.

Leeds have indicated a willingness to pay close to €25 million for the PSG academy graduate and that fee is close to being approved, but Galtier wants to keep the striker. Kalimuendo still has two years left on his contract at the Ligue 1 side, and is reportedly in no rush to leave the club. Whether the deal happens or not could all depend on whether Galtier is willing to let go of Kalimuendo.

Joel Robles latest

Goalkeeper Joel Robles is reportedly set to complete his move to Leeds on Monday. According to the Daily Mail, Robles has agreed an initial one-year deal at Elland Road.

The 32-year-old left Real Betis this summer and will join Leeds on a free transfer, providing back-up to Illan Meslier. The former Everton and Wigan stopper could be seen as a direct replacement for Kiko Casilla, who left the Whites by mutual consent last month.
