Leeds United's recent Premier League form has been a slight cause for concern for manager Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites have lost their last two matches by the same 4-1 scoreline to Leicester City and Crystal Palace respectively. However, Bielsa's side can still take many positives from their opening eight games back in the top-flight, but may be looking to strengthen their squad when January comes around.
With now about a month-and-a-half until the mid-season transfer window opens, we have gathered the latest rumours and stories concerning Leeds.
Leeds tipped to sign Phillips back-up
Gabriel Agbonlahor has urged Leeds to go and sign a back-up midfield option for the injured Kalvin Phillips in January.
Phillips could return against Arsenal once the international break is over, and Agbonlahor has explained to Football Insider how much the Whites have missed the England international.
The former Aston Villa striker said: "He's been a huge miss. You look at certain games and he's the one that would have broken up certain attacks. So, maybe Leeds need another Kalvin Phillips to fill in for him when he's not available. I feel they might bring somebody else in January just to be there if he does get injured."
New deal for Hosannah
Leeds have confirmed that defender Bryce Hosannah has signed a new contract at Elland Road.
The right-back is currently on loan at Bradford City and has impressed in his seven outings for the Whites' Yorkshire neighbours so far.
Hosannah's deal at Leeds was due to expire at the end of the season, but he has now put pen to paper to keep him with the club until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
The 21-year-old defender is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Yorkshire-based club, but has made the matchday squad once (in December 2019 against Huddersfield Town).
Whites handed Gonzalez boost
Nicolas Gonzalez will be available to buy in the January transfer window for €20million (£17.8m), according to German news outlet BILD.
Back in the summer, The Guardian reported that the Whites, as well as Brighton & Hove Albion, were interested in a move for the Stuttgart attacker. However, no deal materialised for Gonzalez, but according to a fresh report from Germany, the Bundesliga club are keen on selling the Argentine striker.
This could be of huge interest to Leeds, but the Yorkshire-based club did end up signing Rodrigo Moreno in a big-money move from Valencia after not completing a deal for Gonzalez.
