Leeds United transfer rumours: Whites enquire over Fiorentina duo, Rodrigo targeted

Leeds United were victorious on the road on Tuesday night, as Marcelo Bielsa's men smashed five past West Bromwich Albion without reply.

The Whites were absolutely sensational at the Hawthorns - scoring four first-half goals and one in the second period, as Bielsa's attacking style proved to be too much for Sam Allardyce.

That's now back-to-back wins for the Yorkshire outfit, who could look to bolster their squad when the January transfer window opens soon.

With that in mind, we bring you a round-up of the very latest transfer rumours concerning Leeds.

Jack Harrison continues to prove people wrong

Whites' double enquiry

Leeds have made enquiries to sign Fiorentina duo Christian Kouame and Erick Pulgar in the January transfer window, according to La Nazione (via The Boot Room ).

The report claims that Bielsa has welcomed enquiries for Kouame and Pulgar - with the latter being linked with a move to Yorkshire a few months ago.

The Chile international plays as a holding midfielder for the Serie A team and has been capped 24 times for his national team.

Meanwhile, Kouame has scored just two goals in 22 games for Fiorentina, but 13 of those games has seen the Ivory Coast man come off the bench.

Atletico chase Rodrigo

Rodrigo Moreno only signed for Leeds in the summer, but the club-record signing is now a target for Atletico Madrid, according to TuttoNapoli.

Rodrigo moved to Elland Road for a reported £27million fee from Valencia and has shown glimpses of his quality in his short time with the Premier League club.

However, with Atletico parting company with Diego Costa, they are now after a centre-forward, and they believe the Spaniard's experience in La Liga will benefit them.

As well as this, Diego Simeone's side are interested in Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, the report claims.

Bielsa's response to question about January

Leeds boss Bielsa has not ruled out his side making any signings when the January transfer window opens.

The Whites had a busy summer in terms of incomings and have been linked with a host of new additions next month.

Speaking after the game, Bielsa refused to rule out any moves, but also did not give too much away.

“I can’t give you a firm answer, I can’t say yes or no,” he said when asked if it was necessary to do anything in January.

“If there’s a player that clearly improves the squad then obviously that would be good for the club.

"The option to bring a great player to the club sometimes depends on the needs of the team, but sometimes opportunities arise."
