Leeds United transfer rumours: Valencia secure in-demand starlet's future, Alioski hailed

The January transfer window will open for business in less than a month as clubs across the Premier League look to strengthen for the final two thirds of the season.

Leeds United had a busy summer on their return to the Premier League and while they are not expected to do anything like th kind of business they did earlier this year, Victor Orta and company will no doubt enter the window with their eyes wide open to any opportunities which may arise.

Here is a look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours from across the web.

Musah signs new Valencia deal

Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah has signed a new deal with Los Che following rumours that Leeds United were one of a quartet of Premier League sides interested in him.

Arsenal, Wolves and Everton had also been linked with the 18-year-old, but the Spanish side have now moved to secure the highly-rated American's teenager.

Musah was formally in Arsenal's youth set-up before moving to La Liga, becoming the youngest non-Spanish player to score for Valencia, aged 17 years and 338 days.

Valencia have confirmed he has now signed a new six-year deal, which will run until the end of the 2025-26 season.

This deal has a reported €100million release clause, according to CBS Sports.

Alioski new deal backed

With his current contract set to expire at the end of the current season, Gjanni Alioski's future has been under the microscope in recent weeks, amid reports that Leeds are set to offer him a new deal.

Former Leeds defender Danny Mills believes that the North Macedonian international is 'vital' for Marcelo Bielsa's side, hailing both the ability and character of the 28-year-old.

“It’s very, very important that they are there working with the team, working hard in training and helping to create a good atmosphere," Mills told Football Insider.

“The opposite of that would be players that are disgruntled, annoyed or upset and not necessarily giving everything in training and causing issues around the place. That’s not Allioski.

“He seems like a great character and he can play numerous positions as well which is absolutely vital.

“Leeds are in the Premier League and fans will be back in soon, where else would you want to be plying your trade next season?”

Leeds' January outook

Less than a month remains until the January window swings open, we've had a look at how much business we expect Leeds to do.

On the whole, though you can understand why there will be little appetite to do much next month based on what’s gone before.
