For Leeds United, the focus is firmly set on achieving the highest possible finish in their first season back in the Premier League.
Following Saturday's goalless draw with Chelsea, the Whites sit comfortably in 12th place as they look to put all their end-of-season efforts into securing a top-10 finish.
This campaign has been another one of swift progression for Marcelo Bielsa and his squad, and the Argentine will know better than anyone that to carry on their trajectory, the summer transfer window could prove crucial.
With all this being said, we have gathered the latest round-up of Leeds-related transfer rumours and stories.
Koopmeiners ready for move
According to The Athletic, reported Leeds target Teun Koopmeiners is ready to leave AZ Alkmaar in the summer.
In September, a report from the Telegraph claimed that the Whites were interested in signing the AZ captain to bolster their midfield options.
Now, a fresh story suggests that Bielsa wants to recruit some cover for Kalvin Phillips - who has struggled with injury problems this season.
Koopmeiners is now reportedly ready for a move away from the Dutch club, but he will not come cheap because of interest from "several Italian clubs".
Toney a 'big gamble' for Leeds
Former West Ham United and Celtic striker Frank McAvennie believes Leeds signing Ivan Toney from Brentford in the summer would be a "big gamble".
Toney has scored 26 goals in the Championship this season following his move from Peterborough United last summer and has been linked with a move to Elland Road.
Talking to Football Insider, McAvennie has questioned whether the 24-year-old is ready to make the move to the Premier League.
He said: “Toney has set the Championship alight but can he do it in the Premier League? Many players have tried and failed when they have come up from the Championship. Just because they set it on fire they think it will be easy but that is rarely the case.
“It is always a big gamble to sign a player from the Championship. Can Toney make the step up? He would be playing against a lot better defenders.”
Leeds take youngster on trial
Leeds have taken Hibernian striker Ethan Laidlaw on trial, as per Not the Old Firm.
The teenage forward signed his first professional deal with Hibs recently but could soon be on the move to England.
The report claims that Laidlaw has spent time training with the Whites over the last week as he looks to impress the Premier League club.
Leeds are no strangers to searching the Scottish market for upcoming talent, having brought in Stuart McKinstry from Motherwell back in the summer of 2019.
