Leeds United transfer rumours: Target set for Liverpool exit and calls for permanent White signing

Leeds United are set for a big summer as they plan for their first season back in the Premier League.

The Whites ended their 16-year wait for a place back in the top flight last night, with West Brom's 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town enough to a return to the promised land for Marcelo Bielsa and his side.

And as they prepare for their long-awaited return, they’ll be looking to bolster their ranks in order to face some of Europe’s elite once again.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from Elland Road.

Target set for Liverpool exit

Young Liverpool defender Yasser Larouci is set to leave Anfield this summer, with Leeds among those interested in signing the 19-year-old.

The full-back has been part of Jurgen Klopp’s senior training group over the past year and made his senior debut for the Reds back in January.

Following lengthy discussions though, it has been decided Larouci will have to move away from Merseyside if he is to secure regular first-team football.

The news will alert Leeds, who are reported by Goal to be interested in the defender, with Brentford also said to be in the running.

Leeds urged to sign White

Former Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford has urged the club to make Ben White their “number one priority” in the transfer market this summer.

The defender has shone in the Whites’ march towards Premier League promotion, and Beckford hopes to see the Brighton loanee’s move made permanent.

Beckford told Sky Sports: “I think he’s been phenomenal this season for Leeds United. I don’t think there’s been many, if any, better centre-halves than him.

“He controls the game really well, he reads it really well. He’s physical player, he’ll put his foot through the ball when he needs to, but he’ll also calm the play down, and he’ll pick out beautiful passes.

“I would say make that signing him number one priority”.

CSKA's Gaich move back on

Adolfo Gaich is reportedly on the verge of a move to CSKA Moscow, having previously been linked with a move to Elland Road.

The striker has been attracting attention from a number of clubs across Europe after a standout season for San Lorenzo in Argentina.

The 21-year-old had been tipped to link-up with compatriot Marcelo Bielsa in the summer, with Leeds joining the likes of Galatasaray, Nantes, Benfica and Roma interested.

But, according to Tutto Mercato (via Inside Futbol) a deal to take him to Moscow has been revived, having seemed to have collapsed not long ago.
