Leeds United suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Leicester City on Monday evening.
Marcelo Bielsa's side remain in 12th-place after the 4-1 defeat to the high-flying Foxes. Despite their really impressive start to life back in the Premier League, the Whites may be looking to add further reinforcements in January when the next transfer window opens.
In light of this, here are the latest Leeds transfer rumours.
Reported target turns down contract
Reported Leeds target Stephan Ambrosius has turned down a contract offer from Hamburg, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
That's according to the Hamburger Morgenpost, who are reporting that the 21-year-old defender could leave the German side for free next summer.
There were reports last month regarding Leeds' rumoured interest in the German central defender, and now it looks like the Whites could make a move if he's unable to agree a deal with the Bundesliga 2 side. Ambrosius has played five times in the league for Hamburg already this season.
Leeds target closes in on Hammers move
West Ham United have won the race to sign Frederik Alves Ibsen, according to Danish outlet BT.
The 20-year-old was linked with the Whites, as well as the Hammers, and now it seems the latter have won the race for the highly-rated Denmark under-21s international.
Alves is set to undergo a medical, with the central defender already in London after holding talks with his soon-to-be new club. The Silkeborg centre-back is set to sign a three-year deal in January for David Moyes' side, which will keep him at the East London-based club right up until 2024.
Campbell offered new deal
Football Insider are reporting that Motherwell have offered defender Sam Campbell a new deal at the club, despite accepting a bid from Leeds.
The 16-year-old defender was given permission to hold talks with the Whites over a move, as well as visit Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion for trials. However, the Scottish side have now made a fresh move to try and keep Campbell at the club. Motherwell are now confident that the teenager will accept a deal to stay at Fir Park, the report claims.
