Leeds United transfer rumours: Patrick Bamford stance, Rafa Mujica update, Borna Sosa interest

Leeds United's hierarchy may now have more than half an eye on the upcoming summer transfer window following the side's impressive season.

The Whites have been a revelation since returning to the Premier League but the club will be well aware that continuing the progression will need financial injection in the summer.

Plenty of names are being linked with a move to Elland Road as the window approaches, and with this being said, here are the latest Leeds-related transfer rumours from around Europe.

Bielsa's Bamford stance revealed

According to the Daily Star, Leeds have told Liverpool 'to forget' about signing Patrick Bamford this summer.

The report claims that Bamford has emerged as a target for the Reds, who are looking to add more firepower in the upcoming transfer window after a disappointing season in front of goal.

However, Marcelo Bielsa is 'determined' to keep the 27-year-old striker at Elland Road - so much so, that he has made it clear how important the forward is to the ongoing progress of his side.

Bielsa is well aware of the challenge that would be presented in replacing Bamford if he was to leave the Yorkshire club.

Las Palmas want Mujica permanently

Las Palmas are interested in signing Leeds striker Rafa Mujica on a permanent basis this summer, according to AS, via Sport Witness.

The report from Spain states that the Segunda Division side have an option to keep the 22-year-old beyond his loan deal and they are "showing interest".

However, the conditions agreed earlier on between the two sides may need to be re-negotiated, it is claimed, with Las Palmas struggling to match them.

Whites make offer for Sosa

Leeds have made an offer for Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa over a potential move this summer, according to the defender's agent.

In a report from Sportske Novotsi, agent Franjo Vranjković said: “The most important thing for him is to make a transfer to England because he has an offer from Leeds United.”

The Whites have been linked with a host of new full-backs with Ezgjan Alioski looking increasingly likely to leave Elland Road once his contract expires at the end of the season.

Sosa has featured 24 times for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga throughout the 2020/21 campaign and has registered an impressive 10 assists for his team-mates, which demonstrate his attacking prowess on the left-hand side.
