Leeds United transfer rumours: Nahitan Nandez blow, Man United reject bid, Demari Gray linked

Time is running out for clubs to complete their business in the transfer window.

Whilst Leeds United can sign non-Premier League players from English clubs due to an extended domestic deadline, they have until Monday to make signings from overseas or their top-tier rivals.

With that in mind, here is the latest Leeds United transfer gossip.

Nandez bid rejected

Centro Trentuno report that Leeds have failed with a £22.5m bid to sign Cagliari's Nahitan Nandez.

The Whites were linked with a move for the Serie A enforcer, who would appear to be a good fit under Marcelo Bielsa.

Yet Cagliari owner Tomasso Guilini had said he would not be selling the Uruguayan so close to the transfer deadline and he appears to have been true to his word.

James loan bid turned down

ESPN report that Leeds have seen a season-long offer for Daniel James rejected by Manchester United.

The Red Devils are reported to be keen to sell the Wales international on a permanent basis for £25m.

Leeds are keen on James but it remains to be seen whether they are willing to pay Manchester United's asking price, which will go towards funding Jadon Sancho.

Demari Gray linked

The Telegraph claim that Leeds are ready to make a move for Demari Gray.

Leicester winger Gray has fallen behind the likes of Harvey Barnes in the pecking order at the King Power Stadium.

It means the Foxes are willing to sell Gray if they receive an acceptable bid.
