Leeds United transfer rumours: Lewis O'Brien prediction, Barcelona eye Whites' star

Leeds United finished the transfer window happy with the state of their squad, having picked up Junior Firpo, Kristoffer Klaesson and Daniel James as reinforcements for the first-team squad.

However, with no wins in the first six fixtures, perhaps they will look toward the January transfer window as an opportunity to bring in another player to ensure they retain their Premier League status for another season.

With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours.

Barcelona eye Leeds star

According to Fichajes.net, Barcelona have their eyes on Leeds' star winger Raphinha.

The Brazilian has recently been called up to his national team and stands to earn his first international cap. He has starred for Leeds this season, contributing to almost every goal the Whites have scored thus far.

Although Barcelona may have an interest in Raphinha, their financial woes are well-known, so it seems unlikely that they'd pay the type of money that Leeds would demand for their most important attacker.

Leeds 'could still sign' midfielder

Ex-Premier League forward Kevin Campbell believes that Lewis O'Brien could still end up a Leeds player, despite signing a new contract at Huddersfield.

“He has signed a new contract to up his money and make sure that Huddersfield can get the fee that they want. If Leeds come in they are going to have to come in correctly," Campbell told Football Insider.

“At the end of the day it is easy to say he shouldn’t have signed a new contract but if Leeds really want him they will come in with a bid that satisfies Huddersfield."

Kamara clause claim

Football Insider have claimed that - despite him signing a new contract last week - Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara could still be an option for Leeds.

They state that a source has confirmed that the Finnish international has a release clause in his contract which Leeds could meet.

Speaking of this, Danny Mills said: “If I was working for a player in this day and age I’d have it in the contract as mandatory.

“It’s a good idea and it protects the player and the club. If he does well and has the opportunity to move on, the club are obviously sufficiently remunerated for that."
