Leeds United transfer rumours: Kent tipped for move, David revelation, Gonzalez blow

Leeds United may be tempted to pursue more signings when the January transfer window opens in just over a month.

Marcelo Bielsa brought a host of new players to Elland Road over the summer, but some fresh faces could give the club a big boost for the remainder of the season.

As well as that, there is some unresolved business to be done with current squad members at the Whites.

With that said, here are the latest Leeds-related transfer rumours.

Kent tipped for move

Rangers star Ryan Kent has been tipped to complete a move to the Premier League, following reports claiming Leeds have an interest in the winger.

The Scottish side's captain James Tavernier believes his team-mate will eventually secure a move to the English top-flight.

Tavernier said: “Ryan has all the qualities to become a really top player. He’s getting there, you can see that. He’s scoring goals and adding numbers to his game. Hopefully, that will continue.

“He is showing incredible consistency. There is nothing better I’d like to see than Ryan in the Premier League and hopefully that day will come — after this season."

Leeds target revelation

Jonathan David completed a move to Lille over the summer, after a fantastic 2019/20 season for KAA Gent.

A new report from L'Equipe (via Sport Witness ) has claimed that Leeds were one of the clubs interested in a move for the Canada forward before he secured a move to Ligue 1.

The French newspaper said that Lille "got the ball rolling, edging out three Premier League clubs, Leeds, Crystal Palace and Brighton, among others".

Bielsa ended up completing the transfer of Rodrigo Moreno - who joined for a club-record fee of £26m from Valencia.

Gonzalez blow

Leeds look like they have missed out on the chance of signing Stuttgart attacker Nicolas Gonzalez, according to German news outlet Kicker.

The Argentine forward has now signed a new four-year deal with the Bundesliga club, despite recent links with a move to Elland Road.

The new deal does not contain a release clause either, so Stuttgart are now in a very strong position in regards to his future.

This will perhaps change the Whites' stance on Gonzalez, with the 22-year-old staying at the German side for the foreseeable future.
