Leeds United transfer rumours: Javi Galan angle resurfaces plus fresh Ezgjan Alioski interest

Leeds United continue to be linked to a number of players as the transfer window begins to click into gear this summer.

The Whites are understood to be keen on acquiring players at left-back, in central midfield and a winger ahead of their second season back in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa already believes he has a number of the core ingredients at the club and only the right additions will be made to add to an already impressive squad at his disposal.

Here is a round-up of the latest reports on players being linked with a move to Elland Road.

Matheus Cunha link distanced

Leeds United are not in advanced talks to sign Hertha Berlin star Matheus Cunha this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer insider has responded to claims the Whites are only one step away from signing the Brazilian attacker.

United have been linked with numerous South American options already, despite Marcelo Bielsa not yet signing his new contract.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Monday, Romano discussed whether there were negotiations with the German club.

“Noa Lang is one of the targets,” he said.

“Cunha appreciated – but it’s not advanced/close to being agreed as of today.”

Javi Galan angle resurfaces

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has been in contact with Huesca left-back Javi Galan ahead of a potential move, according to Football Insider.

The website says: "A Leeds source has told Football Insider Bielsa has been in touch with Galan to discuss how he could fit into his team next season.

"The United manager has a detailed plan for each of his transfer targets, including their playing role and development plan.

"Galan is now considered the first choice left-back target although Leeds are aware of rival interest in him.

"Huesca are expecting the defender to leave Sevilla this summer after his release clause reportedly dropped from £7m to £3.5m."

Fresh Ezgjan Alioski interest

Gjanni Alioski will soon announce a decision on his future amid claims two more sides have submitted offers to sign the soon-to-be out-of-contract Leeds United star, according to Fanatik.

However, with just days left on his deal, Alioski has been the subject of two more late approaches. As per Fanatik, the left-sided star has also now been approached by both Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce.

Of the two, the Turkish outlet believes it is Trabzonspor who look most likely to strike. As per the article, they have already set up a meeting with the player’s entourage and are ‘in a hurry’ to push through the deal.
