Leeds United transfer rumours: Dribbling maestro ready to join and £10million target speaks out

If Victor Orta has his way, Leeds United look set to have an influx of new faces through the door.

The Whites' director of football is expecting to see fresh new faces at Elland Road by July 1.

He hopes that by setting an early date, new additions can learn the methods of the enigmatic Marcelo Bielsa by the time the new season rolls around.

To be the Premier League's fittest side requires a rigorous application from the outset, and so any incoming transfers will likely be joining up within this month.

Now LeedsLive takes a look at some of the biggest transfer stories flooding the media today about the Whites.

Raphinha offers not tabled

Transfer speculation surrounding Leeds United's Brazilian star Raphinha has increased in the past 48 hours.

There are now a number of reports suggesting a £32m offer has been tabled by Liverpool for the South American, with the Reds having made the deal a transfer priority this summer.

Despite that speculation, no offers have been made to Leeds for Raphinha, who still has four years to run on his contract with the Whites.

The speculation will no doubt continue in the coming days, but Leeds have no desire to sell and so far no approach has been made.

LaLiga defender 'ready' to join

According to Mundo Deportivo, Huesca defender Javi Galan could be making the move to Elland Road to replace Ezgjan Alioski, who's reportedly set to depart.

The report states that he is now ‘ready to sign’ for the move and even has his suitcase packed.

Galan is a highly-rated left-back whose release clause has been cut in half to just €4million following his side's relegation from Spain's top division.

The 26-year-old is second to Lionel Messi in most successful dribbles across a league season in Spain and his best attributes tick a lot of Bielsa's boxes.

Goalscoring machine's future still undecided

Despite the continuous interest, Udinese are not willing to lower their asking price of £35million for Rodrigo De Paul, according to reports.

The Serie A midfielder enjoyed a breathtaking season in Italy, scoring 18 goals in 36 league outings last season.

Now the 27-year-old is linked with a move to Athletico Madrid to replace for Saul.

Goal report: "Although Leeds have reportedly been monitoring the 27-year-old for some time, La Liga champions Atletico are in pole position to land his signature at the moment, but a final deal remains in the balance due to the fact his current club are refusing to compromise on price."

As we have previously reported, despite the reports elsewhere Leeds never made a move for De Paul, but it's not stopped him continually being linked.

Linked Celtic defender speaks out over future

Celtic defender Jack Hendry has spoken out after his long-term links with Leeds.

Media reports suggest both the Whites and West Bromwich Albion are after the 26-year-old's signature following his brilliant form in Belgium Jupiler Pro League at KV Oostende.

Leeds have been credited with preparing a £10m offer for his services. And now Hendry has spoken out about his plans for after his summer's European Championship.

"My main focus is just on the Euros and whatever happens afterwards will happen.

"The most important thing for me next season is playing regularly at the highest level possible.

"I think my game has come on a lot this year by playing games.

"I'm in a position now where I've got doors open. But even so, I've not got any other distractions right now. I'm concentrating on these group stages and then we'll see what happens afterwards."
