Leeds United are now back in the big time and that just became a little more real thanks to the fixture release this morning.
Liverpool is first up for the Whites on September 12 at Anfield but before that date the club has the big matter of improving their squad during the summer transfer window.
Marcelo Bielsa and the club’s board are now tasked to build a squad capable of staying in England’s top-tier, which has proved difficult for some teams in the past.
It’s unsurprising that the Whites have been linked with a host of new players to help them bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
With that being said, here are the very latest Leeds-related transfer rumours from today.
Brighton double-down on White stance
Brighton will not sell Ben White to Leeds United as they will not consider a deal that would strengthen a direct rival.
Marcelo Bielsa is desperate for White to return to Elland Road after his successful loan stint last season but the Seagulls are refusing to discuss a deal.
Leeds have seen bids rejected for the defender and Sky Sports states they will not sell for any price.
Brighton finished seven points clear of the relegation zone last season and are expected to be involved in another scrap in the bottom half next term.
Improved Kent bid expected
Leeds United are set to make an improved bid of £14m to Glasgow Rangers for Ryan Kent.
The former Liverpool man has already been the subject of a £10m offer from the Whites, but that was turned down by the Scottish giants.
But according to multiple reports from Scotland, the Elland Road club are set to return with an improved bid of £14m, and also offer the winger £50,000 a week to make the move.
Cabral's agents to push deal
The agents of FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral are jetting to Europe in order to push through a transfer, Brazilian outlet UOL reports.
The report claims that Leeds have made an offer totalling £16.1m, with £13.5m up front and a further £2.6m in performance-related clauses.
A meeting is now set to take place in Lisbon on Tuesday, with his representatives set to arrive in Portugal in the early hours of the morning.
