Leeds United transfer rumours: Ben White claim, contact 'initiated' for Mikkel Damsgaard

Leeds United had a quiet January transfer window, but there are already plenty of rumours ahead of the summer.

Marcelo Bielsa will be hoping to add to his squad, as well as keep hold of some of his key players - who have on occasion been tentatively linked with a move away from the Whites after their impressive first season back in the Premier League.

There's no doubting that Bielsa may look to add more depth to his squad as they aim to continue their progress in the top flight.

With all of this being said, we have gathered the latest Leeds-related transfer rumours from around Europe.

Has Marcelo Bielsa discussed summer plans with Victor Orta?

White claim made

Paul Robinson believes his former club Leeds should 'break the bank' to bring Ben White back to Elland Road in the summer.

White spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion before returning to his parent club for this season - where he has impressed.

Former Leeds goalkeeper Robinson believes his old club should do everything they can to bring the centre-half back to Yorkshire.

The Brighton star can also play in defensive midfield and with Kalvin Phillips going off injured in last week's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, Robinson urged his old club to act in the summer.

“Last season they had Ben White and that’s why I still think Leeds should break the bank and sign White in the summer," the former England shot-stopper told MOT Leeds News.

Leeds 'initiate contact' with Damsgaard

Leeds have initiated contact with Sampdoria for their attacker Mikkel Damsgaard, according to La Repubblica.

The Italian outlet is reporting that the Whites have 'tested the waters' as they look to sign the 20-year-old in the summer.

However, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Southampton have all been credited with an interest for Damsgaard, which could prove to be serious competition for his signature.

The report states that the Serie A club would accept an offer in the region of €20million (£17.5m) to let the attacker leave.

Liverpool eye £30m bid for De Paul - report

Liverpool are considering a £30m bid for Rodrigo De Paul, according to The Sun, via FourFourTwo.

The Whites have been consistently linked with the Udinese midfielder but Jurgen Klopp's side have also been involved in speculation surrounding the Argentine's future.

De Paul is apparently available for £30m, with the Serie A club recently admitting the difficulty they may have keeping hold of him.

Juventus have also been credited with an interest, but the report indicates that Liverpool could be in the lead in the battle for his signature.
