Leeds United transfer rumours: Barnsley set Callum Styles demands, Romain Perraud competition

It's set to be a busy summer transfer window for Leeds United as they prepare for their second season in the Premier League.

The Whites ' first campaign back in the top-flight for over 16 years has been a resounding success but they will look to strengthen in order to continue their progression.

A host of names have been linked with a summer move to Elland Road and today is no different - with the transfer mill once again very busy.

So, with this being said, LeedsLive have gathered up the very latest transfer rumours and stories doing the rounds today.

Leeds told fee needed to sign Styles

According to The72, Leeds will have to pay more than £8million if they wanted to sign Barnsley star Callum Styles in the summer transfer window.

The Whites are reportedly interested in signing the 21-year-old, but face competition from the likes of Southampton, Brighton and Norwich City.

Styles has been in fine form for the Championship club this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists despite playing the majority of the campaign at left wing-back.

The report claims that a source has told them it will take more than £8m for Styles to move away from Oakwell at the end of the season.

Whites face battle to land Perraud

French club Lyon are interested in signing the Leeds-linked Romain Perraud, according to the Daily Mail.

It's no secret that the Whites are keen on bringing a left-back to Elland Road this summer, with Ezgjan Alioski looking increasingly likely to leave with his contract quickly coming to an end.

Perraud's performances for Stade Brest this season have caught the eye of Leeds, according to reports, but it now appears they will face stern competition for his signature.

The 23-year-old is now a target for Lyon, the article says, who are looking to sign a first-choice left-back this summer.

Man United to move for youngster despite Leeds trial

Manchester United are set to make a move to sign Hibernian striker Ethan Laidlaw, despite having a trial with Leeds, according to the Daily Mail.

The 16-year-old recently had a trial with the Yorkshire club, recent reports claim, but Man United are now interested in the highly-rated teenager.

The Manchester side will emulate what Leeds did by offering Laidlaw a trial before making a definitive decision about taking him on a permanent basis.

The forward only signed his first professional contract with Hibs recently and was named on the bench for the first time in last weekend's defeat to Rangers.
